Who is Kylan Ritchie

Kylan Ritchie

Kylan Ritchie was born in raised in a small town near Nashville, TN. Growing up, she found a love for the arts and being on stage at just 5 years old. Her love for acting, singing, and dancing only grew as she began to perform professionally. On top of her career, Kylan enjoys reading everything from Shakespeare’s greatest works to Harry Potter. She also enjoys cooking new recipes for her friends and family, growing her skills as a pianist and guitarist, and taking long walks through Central Park.

Kylan recently earned her equity card and has since moved to New York City in order to continue her career and training. She is thankful to be living her 7 year old self’s dream and couldn’t be happier with the journey it took to get there. Before moving to the big city, Kylan trained vocally with Erica Aubrey (Belmont University), Scott Logsdon for acting, and Anna Perry (Belmont University) for dance. Kylan has also worked all across Tennessee and parts of Florida. Some of her favorite experiences include her apprenticeship with Nashville Shakespeare festival where she was trained in stage combat, text analysis, Suzuki, and more, as well as her internship with Cumberland County Playhouse where she gained experience as a swing and understudy. From each of these experiences Kylan was also trained in areas of theatre that often go underappreciated: set painting, set building, sound, lighting, and being a crew member and dresser.

Kylan’s favorite place, however, is on the stage. Some of her favorite credits include Darlene in Honky Tonk Angels (Riverside Theatre), Dainty June in Gypsy (Gulf Coast Symphony) where she performed alongside Tony nominated, Disney legend Jodi Benson, Natalie in Next to Normal (Guld Coast Symphony), Ms. Dilber/Belinda Cratchet/dance swing (perf) in Scrooge (Cumberland County Playhouse), and Ida/understudy Minnie (perf) in Little House on the Prairie: The Musical (Cumberland County Playhouse.

Kylan continues to push herself to learn new things about herself, and her artform every day. Thus, after making the move to NYC, she began studying vocally with Mike Ruckles, Matthew Corozine Studio for Meisner technique, Atlantic Theatre Company, and is taking numerous classes at Broadway Dance Center. Kylan loves to learn and grow and is excited to begin her new journey in the city.
